“For Your mercy never fails meAll my days, I've been held in Your hands.”….….An Enormous heartfelt Thank YOU to our parish, Saint Aidan, Wexford, PA for lovingly welcoming, with open arms, my daughter Mary back to altar serving. ✝️I would never have wished for the difficult things that have happened to happen. But if they hadn’t, I may have missed out on the greatest gift. “And all my life You have been faithfulAnd all my life You have been so, so goodWith every breath that I am ableOh, I will sing of the goodness of God.”DIOCESE OF PITTSBURGH

As a trainer of altar servers I am so pleased to see Mary return to this honorable ministry. Also having taught Father Will,Father Dan, and Seminarian Brian at St. Paul Seminary, I am well aware of their compassionate care of their people. Keep up the good work, Mary. You look so good in that alb! 😀 Sister Ann Rosalia

WE MUST LEARN TO PRAY FOR PEACE, LEST WE FALL TO THE FORCES THAT IS TRYING TO DESTROY THIS EARTH......Jesus taught us how to pray by giving us the Lord's Prayer, which serves as a pattern or model for prayer1.The Lord's Prayer teaches us six unique steps to prayer:----Address God appropriately as the Father.----Praise God for who he is and what he has done.----Acknowledge that God’s plan is in control, not ours.----Ask God for what we need.----Confess how we have sinned and repent with a humble heart.----Jesus also prayed alone, with others, before a meal, and for others3\https://lnkd.in/eQuDf65W

Memorial of Saint Justin, Martyr. Saturday of the Eight Week of Ordinary Time in the liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church is a period that typically occurs between the seasons of Christmas and Lent or between Pentecost and Advent. During this week, we focus on the teachings and miracles of Jesus, highlighting the practical aspects of Christian living. The scripture readings and prayers emphasize themes such as humility, faith, perseverance, and the importance of love and service to others. The liturgical colour for Ordinary Time is green, symbolizing growth and hope in the Christian faith.https://lnkd.in/dcYT2stb

Big news on my end is finishing and publishing my memoir, "Acres of Oak - A Pastor Rethinks Church in the 21st Century." You can find it at Amazon and book stores like Barnes and Noble. That enigmatic title is shorthand for the empty pews so common to church sanctuaries these days--and what it will take to make them less ubiquitous. Along the way, the story of navigating a path that yields a transformative theology of hope and perhaps a resolution to those acres of oak--and a planet where it will still matter. For a more detailed description, go to my website: richardrkurrasch.com.
