My hairdresser of 11 years retired abruptly due to an illness. I was not prepared with a back up plan. I languished for 2 months as my hair over grew to neanderthal level. I looked absurd and embarrassing. My wife suggested going to someone younger for a modern, youthful look. ( Exactly what I feared for the last 2 months ) We picked Sport Clips. I created an account and checked in. I arrived on time and was greeted by Vanessa immediately. She diffused my fear and proceeded to cut my hair short and clean cut. I now look civilized and employable and trendy. If I planned ahead I would of stuck around for the VIP treatment.I will return next month for the full VIP Treatment. Very friendly atmosphere. I enjoyed myself..

Love the salon andy stylist. Hate the horrible app that does not allow you to make an appointment. I leave a tip 2x my $27 cut… But can never get an appointment. Going to be forced into finding someplace else….

Debbie is a great stylist. I hope she opens her own shop. Debbie was not able to cut my hair today so Anthony had to do it. I asked for 1″ to be cut off the top and instead he cut off 4″. I chose not to leave a tip because I was not satisfied and he questioned me on why in front of the other customers. I dont think he had a right to be upset about my tip because he did not do what I asked. Would not return or recommend this salon. Too bad because Debbie is great.

I’d give this place zero stars if I could. I’ve gone to Sports Clips at different locations for years. Just an inexpensive haircut, geared toward men. This place has such a rude employee, it was AMAZING! Goldilocks (I don’t know his name, calling him that because he’s all bald except for a tweety bird gold lock on top, and he had to have all his matching spray bottles and accessories in gold) was the most arrogant SOB I have come in contact with in a while. Situation was, after going through what my son wanted for his haircut with the female stylist, she started doing almost exactly what we said we didn’t want. I stopped her, explaining that’s not what we asked for. I was irritated, but bit my tongue, as it’s just hair and will grow. Goldilocks steps in (he’s cutting my hair), and just says “stop, that’s all you can do” to the stylist, says he will comp that cut. I just stayed quiet from that point on, but it was obvious I wasn’t happy. Get to the register, he insists I pay for both saying I was being rude. “How? I haven’t said a word!” He states I coughed without covering my mouth (I did get hair in my throat, and had a small cough through my teeth that came on before I could react). When I tell him that’s horrible customer service to charge for an unfinished haircut that was nothing like was discussed, this pompous over-self important douche starts in about “all his followers” that “travel with him wherever he goes” would prove he’s the best at customer service. Calm down, get the ego in check. It’s Sports Clips, a little above Supercuts, and kind of the “fast food” of salons. You don’t have your own salon, nor a network of dedicated followers. Because of this silly little man, I will never go to any Sports Clips again. I know, the company doesn’t care about one customer, but maybe someone like the owner of this franchise will start paying attention to the size of Goldy’s ego and try to put him in check.

I walked in there this morning to try to get my sons hair cut. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist seemed offended that I even opened the door. She rudely asked me if I checked in on line. No, I haven’t, this is my first experience ever walking into a Sports Clips. She rolled her eyes at me, and told me that the kiosk was down. (I don’t know what that means) I asked how long the wait was or if I can make an appointment, she kept telling me the kiosk was down. I told her I don’t know what that means. She rolled her eyes at me again, and told me to the name down, I asked if she could call me when they have availability, she she again told me that the kiosk was down and still never explained what a kiosk was or did. She told me she has no way of calling. This is the first and last time I will ever attempt to get my sons hair cut there.

Anthony should not be cutting hair here or anywhere. He is not capable of listening to the client’s wishes and producing a haircut that matches those wishes. My husband received the worst haircut here that he has ever gotten. Anthony also has a bad attitude. Will not be returning and will tell our friends to stay far away.

I had both a highly exceptional experience and a highly unexceptional experience. Allow me to start with the latter. Barber Anthony (short, heavy, older gentleman) greeted me in a very uninviting manner. I requested a trim as I have done in the past with very minimal hair being removed. Anthony was annoyed by the apparent vagueness of the request demanding numbers , such as “a one or a two” until he himself settling on an “eight”. He expressed unpleasantly: “The philosophy is I don’t want no complaints if it is too short.” At this point, he grabbed his head clippers and hacked away so aggressively that the clippers got stuck. While he rummaged for another pair of clippers, I asked that the appointment be rescheduled so I may be better served by the other barber Mattlock (tall, tattoo-sleeve, beard). During the wait, a mother and her son came in and waited beside me. When Anthony called upon the son, the mother asked if I should go first as I had been waiting longer. i explained why I was choosing to wait. She decided to take her son elsewhere. Looking in my direction, Anthony exclaimed: “Good. I do not want any tears being shed. I already had that today!” Despite being exacerbated by his coworker’s apathy and lack of customer service, Mattlock made the mature decision to apologize and did a fine job fixing Anthony’s “hack-job” to the point that the error became negligible.
